HOW DO I ACCESS MY GEORGIA CHAPTER MEMBER ACCOUNT?

General Instructions:
  1. Access the Member Area on our website at: https://gaswana.org/members.php
  2. Enter your password to access your Georgia Chapter Member account. 
If you do not remember your password or have never accessed your Georgia Chapter Member account on our website:
  1. Click on the "Forgot Username/Password" link which is located on the Member Area log in page.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your SWANA membership and click "Submit."
  3. Follow the correspondence sent to your email address to set up your new password and access your Georgia Chapter Member account.
If you have recently become a Georgia Chapter member and our website does not acknowledge the email address you entered:
  1. Notify us at [email protected].  It is likely we may not have you in our system because we obtain all Georgia Chapter membership information from our parent organization (SWANA International).
  2. Once we upload the new membership information from our parent organization we will contact you so you may continue setting up your Georgia Chapter Member account.
If our website continues to not acknowledge the email address you entered: 
  1. Verify your member email address by logging into your MySWANA profile on our parent organization's website at http://www.swana.org/ and make any changes, if necessary.  Contact SWANA International at [email protected] if you are having any issues accessing your MySWANA profile.
  2. Notify us at at [email protected] if you made any changes to your MySWANA profile or if you are still having issues.
  3. Once we upload your revised membership information from our parent organization we will contact you so you may access your Georgia Chapter Member account.

HOW DO I EDIT MY NAME AND CONTACT INFORMATION WHEN UPDATING MY GEORGIA CHAPTER MEMBER PROFILE?

  1. Because we obtain all of our Georgia Chapter membership information from our parent organization (SWANA International), you will need to change this information by logging into your MySWANA profile on our parent organization's website at http://www.swana.org/.  Contact SWANA International at [email protected] if you are having any issues logging into your MySWANA profile.
  2. Notify us at at [email protected] if you made any changes to your MySWANA profile and would like this information immediately reflected in your Georgia Chapter Member Profile, such as, for Georgia Chapter event registration.  Otherwise, we routinely download this information from SWANA International and your revised profile information will eventually be uploaded to our Georgia Chapter website.
  3. Once we upload your revised membership information from our parent organization you will see these changes reflected in your Georgia Chapter Member Profile.

WHY AM I NOT RECEIVING EMAILS FROM THE SWANA GEORGIA CHAPTER?

A firewall or spam filtering service is likely the cause of the issue. However, you can add several domains and IP addresses to your "Allow List" to improve delivery.  Depending on your e-mail service, you may be able to do this by yourself, or you may need the assistance of your IT administrator.  Here is a link to an article from StarChapter's Knowledgebase that contains a list of domains and IP addresses we recommend adding to your Allow List: https://kb.starchapter.com/Allow_List. You can forward this link to their IT team with that request.

Messages from the SWANA Georgia Chapter will usually have the same reply-to email address on them (visible if you start to reply to the message).  Adding this address to your address book or contact list can also help ensure delivery.  Adding [email protected] to the address book or contact list can also help.
