(regardless of SWANA-International Scholarship Deadlines) is MAY 1.

SWANA-Georgia is proud to support and encourage those seeking higher education through its Scholarship Program. 

​Currently, the chapter offers three types of Scholarships.

Georgia Chapter Category I Scholarship:

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, or graduate equivalent certified candidates from a high school in Georgia, who have been accepted for enrollment in a community or technical college or a four-year college or university.

Scholarship(s) will be awarded annually, based on funds available, to one or more recipients, not to exceed $2,000 per individual.

Georgia Chapter Category II Scholarship:

Candidates are currently enrolled full-time college or university students who are juniors/seniors or graduate students pursuing a degree in environmental science, engineering or other suitable major related to solid waste management.
Scholarship(s) will be awarded annually, based on funds available, to one or more recipients, not to exceed $2,000 per individual.

For Category II applicants, if renewed in the second and subsequent years, the award remains the same, provided that the student(s) is/are still pursuing a degree in environmental science, engineering or other suitable major related to solid waste management. Renewal is contingent upon the student’s full-time enrollment and maintenance of satisfactory academic performance. Georgia Chapter Col. Jim Raudebaugh Scholarship-Sponsored by Atlantic Coast Consulting, Inc.:

Applicants must be graduating high school seniors, or graduate equivalent certified candidates from a high school in Georgia, who have been accepted for enrollment in a community college or a four-year college or university or are currently enrolled full-time college or university students who are undergraduate or graduate students. Scholarship(s) will be awarded annually, based on funds available, to one recipient, not to exceed $2,500 per individual
